Lynda Jagros-May,
Regional Director & Sample Sale co-Chair

Lynda Jagros-MayPresident, Rainmaker Management Group

A graduate of Ryerson University’s Business Administration program, Lynda has spent most of her career working within the fur industry. She has a strong entrepreneurial background having run the family business—Kingsway Furs, one of Toronto’s leading fur boutiques—for several years.

Managing the business enabled her to gain valuable insight on how consumers viewed fur and personal preferences with regards to styling. The business purchased and manufactured its own inventory, specializing in custom orders. This gave Lynda the background and experience to tackle her next career as Executive Director of the Furriers Guild of Canada.

The Furriers Guild represents all sectors of the fur industry and is mandated to develop, coordinate and implement activities to successfully raise the profile of the Canadian Fur Trade. Lynda worked in tandem with the national association, the Fur Council of Canada developing national advertising and promotional campaigns. One project in particular that Lynda conceptualized, coordinated and implemented was the Design Network.

The Network acted as an incubator for Canadian ready-to-wear designers to gain hands-on experience in innovative techniques of integrating fur and textiles. The program resulted in designers creating mini fur collections that were promoted nationally and often through the sponsorship of North American Fur Association (NAFA) internationally. It was this working relationship and program that lead to Lynda’s appointment as Managing Director of Studio NAFA.
